How long after your wedding did you go on your honeymoon??

Just wondering. We were so wrapped up with the wedding and then the move, that we didn't go on our honeymoon until we were married for almost 2 years!!!

We went for 3 weeks to Japan and Hong Kong...
It was worth the wait

We were married on a Saturday and left for the honeymoon the following Thursday, I believe.

We waited a couple months and then went to the Lake District for the weekend.

We went on our honeymoon for our first anniversary.

We went to Hawaii three weeks after our wedding for my husband's work conference.  Given the destination we counted that as our honeymoon 

A little over a week I think. We had so many friends and family here, we didn't want to leave without seeing them more. So we headed off for a long weekend in Venice in early November (we were married 23 October).

We went on holiday 4 weeks after the wedding...Turkey because my dh had seen turkey on a world map when he was younger and thought it was the strangest name for a country and was desperate to go there!

we hadn't at that stage applied for the FLR (we had no idea) so had a minor issue on return but it was Glasgow and not London thankfully and they let us in.

We still haven't gone. Had our 5th anniversary this past year.

Dh & I went to 2 days after our wedding to Chicago but it really wasnt a Honeymoon though just a mini break 3 days. because with the cost of getting the cats to the UK  that was our Honeymoon fund. Dh said when we are more settled sometime in the future we will have a proper Honeymoon. we were thinking maybe a nice luxury cruise or a trip to Australia for a couple weeks. Dh said having the cats with us in the UK was more important to us than going on a Honeymoon at the time. Dh knew how important my cats were to me an if having them with me in the UK helped me get settled in a bit more it was well worth it not to have a Honeymoon.     

We've been married for almost seven years and haven't yet gone on a proper honeymoon. I suppose we will when money permits doing so.

We got married in early April '07 and went on our honeymoon in late June '07...it was so nice to have it later...wasn't all stressed and tired from our wedding...it just worked out well.

I think my sister and brother in law went within a month of their wedding. They went on a cruise through panama canal and saw butterflies as big as their heads.

When I get married, I think just a romantic weekend get-away would appease me. I think I'd be too stressed to travel right away and would want to settle in first.

We went to Wales to get married and had a few days there so that was our wedding & honeymoon in one.

I had a friend who got married in December and had her honeymoon in July.

We got married on a Monday and went on the honeymoon (first of two) that Thursday.

June
