I didn't think my peach pie looked like all that, but posted the pic anyway.

Your pie was gorgeous and brown with no burnt bits - perfect!

Mmmmmm, blackberry pie!  Sadly, I'm laying off the pies & desserts for at least a week or two. [smiley=bigcry.gif]

I made a peach pie last weekend and it just wasn't all that. Not my best effort. Somehow, even though I used the same proportions as always, the crust was too salty. And I think it could have stayed in another 10 mins or so 'cause while the peaches were cooked, the crust could have been a bit browner. Meh.

But I'm soldiering on - it's apple season afterall!  ;D

I'll be soooo glad when we finally move so I can have a different oven. I find the one we've got is just too hard to control with any preciseness.

Thanks guys - it did taste good!  Sadly we only got to finish about half of it, and then we were out of town for a week unexpectedly, so the rest went off.   :-\\\\  That's probably why I want to make another one!

This is probably a stupid question but.....has anyone ever actually made pie with cookie dough instead of traditional pie dough?

That doesn't sound nice.  What kind of filling?

I haven't, but if I did I think I'd only do a bottom crust. And then maybe some sort of ice creamy or creamy filling?

In which case, I am the Pie Queen of Barnet.  :)

Then I'll be the pie princess ;)

My specialty is pecan pie (every Thanksgiving).  My coworkers (at my previous COOL job) didn't know what hit them when they tried it  :o  (couldn't imagine pecans... in a pie....)

BEST pie I've ever had was warm apple & blackberry with double clotted cream... all fresh ingredients, as it was all made on the farm in Yorkshire where we were staying at the time.  BEST MEAL I've ever had in my life!

Oh, I didn't even think about an ice cream filling.  That sounds good!

i made a pie crust with cream cheese once. it was a cross btw pie & custard when it baked.  i pushed the crust into the bottom of the tart pan, then put sliced pears on top.  yummy.

i also make a choc mouse pie with coc chip cookies as the base.  but they're cooked first.

think the problem with cookie batter would be it not cooking?
