The DVD is called "Driving Test Success". It is the New 2006/2007 Edition

So I've been studying with this DVD for about 10 hours. I passed my Theory Test yesterday with flying colors! YEAH!!!!  ;D  It was definately worth it - and it only cost £7. I'm going to use it to study a bit for my behind the wheel. Definately money well spent

Maybe people need extensive driving instruction.
I follow the BBC news and it seems the judges don't hesitate putting drivers in jail for dangerous driving.
I only know of one case, obviously there are many, were a lorry driver killed people in Nevada. He was from Brazil and was driving a tractor trailer and he was over driving his legal hours. He took the off ramp and then changed his mind, came back on the interstate and killed a few.

Just wanted to fill you in--my DH took 4 lessons plus plus the initial evaluation and passed his practical test last week (with only a couple of minor comments from the test administrator).  So he's now a licensed driver!

Thanks to everyone for your advice.

Good on him! Congrats to him. Did he feel he needed 4 lessons?

Congratulations to him... I am curious about the answer to AyouBob's question... did he see the need for lessons?

He says he does feel like he needed lessons, but more just to teach him what he needed to know to pass the test.  He said that he thought four lessons was about right.  He's been driving in the UK for about 6 months, though--this may make a bit of a difference (although his instructor did tell him after the evaluation that he would have failed his test at that point!).  He said that a lot of it was just forcing himself to do all the things that his instructor said he had to do to pass--more a matter of remembering everything than of really re-learning how to drive, if that makes sense.

It makes perfect sense. Congrats on his license!

Agreed, it is logical, but good to know the reasoning behind it as I will be embarking on that journey soon enough.  Thank you for sharing in your posts!
