Good luck! When's your test?

if you dont pass first time DONT GIVE UP!! It took me a few tries but I got there. I never thought I would do it, absolutely never. When I was told I had passed, it didnt seem real.
Are you confident with all your maneuvers and driving around the test area? Make sure you know all the tricky bits. PM me if you need a pep talk, I have certainly been there and done that and got many t shirts to boot!
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.

yeah,, they make a killing on driving lessons here, as you may end up taking quite a few, if you have never driven stick before. You can take it in an automatic,  but you wont' be able to drive stick shift. No big loss IMO tho :lol

Blondshania,, have you taken your test yet? Am rooting for you :)

Hello ,, i took my test on March 29th and passed it...i got marked off for signalling and stopping in the wrong place so minor details..my lessons were 17 an hour and she charged me for the first lesson, on the day of the test as well..which i dont think they should..

it is such a great feeling having passed i still feel great about it...best of luck to all of you out there taking your test..its worth it...

i was so so nervous though :D

Congratulations, Blondshania!
Did you end up taking your test in Manual transmission? I'm a bit freaked out about learning, but after a mini-lesson on clutch control by my husband yesterday, I'm feeling a bit more confident.  It was pretty smooth! Go me! hehe

I'm having trouble finding a teacher, actually- everyone around here wants upwards of £23 an hour! Of course, I should have been dealing with it before this. My poor hubby broke his arm and we're relegated to taking cabs to work while I'm in the process of finding a teacher.

I do have my provisional license and my  L plates, though. This thread reminds me that I need to study more for my Theory test!

Any tips for the nervewracked? Did you only drive automatic in the states, too?

Jen

Hello jenny best of luck with your lessons..fortunately i had a lot of encouragement from my hubby becz i absolutely did not want to take lessons...i went with New driver and the teacher was cool...you mite get a discount if you book block sessions..?? best of luck on your theory test...i used the book and studied it and also got the roadsense video for the hazard perception test....

it is well worth it studying and taking your test..i drove an automatic in the US for 9 years and learned a stick shift a bit in the US>..i was so nervous driving on the road here at first..it helped to get used to being on the opposite side of the road and driving around a bit before getting serious about lessons...

let me know how it goes...
