Being the kitchen stuff whore collector that I am, I find these pieces very intriguing.  I have in more than one occasion considered getting one or two from Lakeland but I haven't done it yet.  I was wondering if anyone here had any experience using them.  Are they worth it?  The Lakeland ones are only 16 quid so it wouldn't be a huge chunk of cash to try them out.  TIA

Hello fellow kitchenalia whore   collector!
I have thought about buying one but to be honest I just soak my couscous in chicken broth and it works just fine.  For me it would be more of a serving dish than anything else.  I wouldn't spend too much money on it.  Of course having said all that once we're done w/ our kitchen extension and we have more room I might change my mind!  The Moroccan cookbook I use calls for the use of a couscoussiere now THAT looks interesting and I really want one.

On an added note I just got back from the US and picked up a KitchenAid Mixer and the 9 cup food processor.  I'm just waiting for my power transformer to arrive and woohoo I'll be a cooking fool  [smiley=chef.gif]- not that I'm not one already.

I'll ask the one who knows and get back to you.  I think it cost about £70 (including shipping)

OK, back with the answer!
we wanted to use t2retail.co.uk but they were out of stock for the 1000 watt one we want. They're basically radio shack here in the UK.  We're going for a pretty powerful one because the food processor is a beast and we want to make doubly sure that we're not going to blow it up. So we ordered  ours from thegadget.co.uk because they had the size we want in stock.
