WTF?!

Okay, Pringles are American, I'll give them that....

Walnut oil?  Never heard of it.  And no self-respecting American is gonna eat hotdogs that come from a jar.  As for Hamburger Sauce... *shudders*

I was thinking the same exact thing what self-respecting American would hot dogs that come from a  jar lol.  ::)  :P

Seems to be a promotion of this specific brand "McEnnedy", which is surely a brand name invented to sound as cheesily American as possible to non-Americans.

Hot dogs in a jar?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

They sell hot dogs in a jar all over the place in the US. That's all my friend's 3-year-old daughter will eat!

Walnut oil?!?! I'm going to have to get myself to Lidl!! That stuff is usually really expensive and it makes the absolute best salad dressing! Wheeeeeeeee!!!   ;D

In the UK, as far as I'm concerned, it's Herta or nothing. :)

How do hot dogs come in the US?  Loose from the butchers, wrapped in paper?

Actually, some of those hot dogs in a jar are really good...especially on the grill.

Wrapped in plastic. I don't eat hot dogs, but I don't really see how getting them in a jar is worse. Or better. They're still hot dogs, after all.  :P

For me it is like they are lab specimens in a jar, something altogether more gross in a can.  It's just a weird psychological thing I think.  Now I just eat veggie dogs and don't have an issue with it.

I've had the ones in the jar and the can and they are awful (IMO). The texture is much different (mushier) and the flavor awful. I absolutely cannot abide them! :P :)

DH is a huge fan of hotdogs but the only one's he's had have been from a can (Royal Oak i think?) he smothers them in mustard and ketchup so i have no idea how he can even taste them...i'll be on the look out for Herta for him.  Where do you get yours?

Sainsbury's carries Herta - both in a thin and a thick version - by the sandwich stuff.
