Can I just say how much I miss Lidl?  I was a Lidl addict and nothing here compares.  Aldi USA is just not the same... nope...

I do remember when our local store opened about 8 years ago..a warning went out in the local press about their frankfurters in a can exploding in peoples faces as they opened them! Not Lidls fault..it was down to the manufacturer..but I had never heard of such a thing happening...I am sure it was very distressing for people who had bought the exploading product....but I did have a good chuckle about it  ;)  I must be twisted  ;D

anyone who would buy frankfurters in a can probably deserved it!  ;)

They are still working on our Lidil store I wish they would hurry up an finish it already so I can go an see what everyone is talking about.

Ice cream sandwiches -- the kind with the soft black/chocolate cookie-type 'bread' bit on the outside, rather than the traditional British wafer type.  They have these in Lidl, and i can confirm they are delicious!   They're called Gelatelli Biscuit Slices.

My hips and thighs thank you.   ;)  I'm off to Lidi this afternoon and hopefully will have some of these tonight!

Just did a huge Lidl run last week.

The Lidl brand Corn Flakes are even better than Kellog.

And the eye cream is FAB!

What brand of eye cream? Have you tried their face cream? I'm looking for cheap alternatives to the stuff I use now!

I've used their shampoo before. It was like 70p for a gigantic bottle! But I've never tried other cosmetic items.

That was the brand of shampoo - Cien! Thanks for that, Genau! Yes, I thought it was good! Very good, in fact! It came in a variety of scents, but the one I bought was green and had a herbally smell to it. I liked it a lot, but I get bored of using the same shampoo every day, so having a huge bottle that lasted months got a bit dull for me. But I'd definitely buy it again!

Hehheheh -- me too.  I bought the yellow sunshine-y scent one, and i liked it, but the bottle's too big and i got bored of it, so threw it out.  Still at 79p, it's not a disaster if you waste half of it.
