I think (although I could be wrong) that she means the kind of tea cake that you normally get toasted. Sort of like a flatter English muffin with raisins in it? Delish with lots of melty butter. But definitely no chocolate or jam.

oh!  never heard of that kind before!
Tunnocks are the only ones i know...  sheltered life, i guess!  ;)

Attention, boozehounds!!   ;)

I bought this stuff from Lidl today called Rachmaninoff Vodka & Melon  - 70cl bottle, 20% alcohol and the most gorgeous thing i have tasted in ages!   I'm just drinking it over ice and it's pure beautiful... it's vodka, melon juice, sugar and water.  very simple, but stunningly delicious!

We have a Lidl built but it isn't open yet they are having problems with where to put the roundabout. You would have thought they would have figured that out before they built the building.  ::)  :P

Whatever next?  Next week they have whole lobsters and crabs, and trumpets and bongos.

Not in mine on London's Old Kent Road.  They only have them a few times a year, and there is a scramble.
