Your Lidl is aMAZing. It's the biggest Lidl I've ever been in AND they apparently skimped on the staff training because there was none of that  Lidl disinterest and surliness that every other Lidl requires of its staff.

I didn't know Lidl was on your holiday itinerary! Well done! Yes, it is huge. They seem to have extended it by a good 50% when they remodeled! LOVE LIDL!

My husband  could not possibly drive by a Lidl  without stopping. ;)

You'd be shocked and alarmed by the staff at my Lidl. Not only are they friendly, but they've even recommended products!!  :o

OMG!!!!  Scotland Lidl shoppers: if you go to a Lidl today and buy the Scottish Sun for 30p, you get a box of Pralines Superieurs for free!  Those are the marbled, filled chocolates that are shaped like seashells and taste like heaven!  Go!  Now!  ;)

Also, 5 lightbulbs for 40p! Woooohooooo!  I was bummed that they didn't have any of those Nuremberger sausages I like, though. :(

and dont forget 4 cans of Pepsi Max for £1!
(or is it 5 cans?  cant remember, but when you consider that in some cornershops you pay 69p for a can... that's cheap!)

Has anyone tried the Grappa that Lidl are carrying at the moment? I was tempted to buy it yesterday but talked myself out of it.

I think I might a bit wary of Lidl grappa ... but I'd be very interested to hear someone else's verdict if they're brave enough to give it a go!  ;D

It was an Italian brand, but my knowledge of grappa is pretty limited so I passed.

I did get some decent tasting champagne there last month. Some guy in Ireland has done some Lidl wine reviews, and I took his word for it.  :)

I haven't had their champagne, but they do a decent Cava (I think in a blue bottle, if memory serves?). It's especially good if you need a lot for a party!
