Feeling very sad.

I feel like I have a small hurt in my chest that won't go away. It's the sorrow of having to put my youngest on the plane and knowing I won't see her until Christmas. My DD flew out this morning at 11 am, and I know this sounds a little crazy, but I feel like I have died just a little bit. It feels like this every time we go through this. I have been tracking her on the Delta site since she left and she's about to land at Atlanta's airport (in about 10 minutes) as I am writing this.

Oh bless your heart! I have a little bit of an idea what you're going through. My sons have been in the USA for three weeks and they won't be coming home until two weeks from today. I realize 5 weeks is nothing compared to what you're going through but it's very hard for me none the less. All I want to do is sleep and count down the days. I don't feel like myself at all and the worst part is I talk to them on the phone and they're having a miserable time and there's not a damn thing I can do about it.

I am sorry, and hugs to you.  I know I am a bit late on this as well.  At least they are safe and will be coming back.  Thankfully we have technology to keep us in touch with our loved ones at a distance.  [smiley=hug.gif]

Sorry I missed this thread as well.  I'm sorry you are feeling sad.  It must be very hard to be away from your daughter.
