Stamped Entry Clearance Visa
« on: March 19, 2004, 02:34:51 PM »
Hi. We just got back from NYC today. Went through Heathrow and the immigration officer stamped my Entry Clearance Visa. I asked him if it was all right for him to do so, and he said yes; :o however, I was told under no circumstances was the visa supposed to be stamped and that we would have to contact the HomeOffice immediately if done so. Don't know who told me or where I heard it. ??? Maybe someone could help me out on this. And was I ever happy to get that visa, woohoo!! ::)

My spousal visa was stamped when I entered the country and I never had any problems with it.  I have never heard of any regulation saying that it should not be.

Good...I'm SO tired of worrying about everything. Glad to not have to worry about that. Even our wedding was overshadowed by me getting my visa. SOOO glad to have it now. Now I can see myself here permanently. 8)

Yes! That was us. Glad to hear you made it back okay. Still walking around with a smile on my face ;D. I got sick on Tuesday with a terrible sore throat; [smiley=sick.gif] was a lot better by Thursday morning, then we flew home, and now it's back ten-fold! But....have that visa!!!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Let us know when ya'll get married.

My visa was stamped when I entered, too.

What does the stamp SAY? There should be special language pertaining to your particular visa.

No, it's just a regular date stamp.
