Chips/Crisps flavors
« on: August 15, 2007, 02:19:06 PM »
I"m interested in the variety of crisps/chips flavors out there. I had noticed some different flavours on my visits to England, and noticed some more at the British import store DB and I went to yesterday. Yesterday I tried Roasted Chicken and Tomato Ketchup. I had tried Prawn Cocktail on my last visit, and we also bought some Smoky Bacon yesterday that I haven't tried yet. I looked online and saw a Lamb and Mint flavoured package.

I'm finding some of these flavours really interesting. I've never liked crisps (I'll only eat some types of Pringles and tortilla chips) but I really liked the Roasted Chicken and thought the Tomato Ketchup ones were ok too.  ;D I might actually start to like crisps!

My favourite are from Canada.  The brand is called Humpty Dumpty. (MrsPink is that right?)  I LOVE the Dill Pickle flavour.  Sounds weird I know, but every person I've given them to loved them.

I love the Thai Sweet Chili crisps...the roasted chicken ones are pretty good as well, too.  I hadn't realised before I came to the UK about the variety of crisp flavors out there, but it certainly makes a nice change from the ubiquitous regular, sour cream and onion, and bbq flavors you find in the states!

Yesterday I tried Roasted Chicken and Tomato Ketchup.

My FAVORITE are tomato ketchup crisps! Are they available in England because ive not seen them anywhere.. but used to eat them all the time in America.  Also, I like the tortillas with a hint of Lime and Flaming-Hot Monster-Munch is yummy as well  ;D

I love cheese and onion too.  The roasted chicken was not bad.  I didn't like the beef flavoured ones. I was too chicken to try the prawn crisps.

Tomato Ketchup and Dill Pickle are regular flavours in Canada. I prefer Old Dutch brand - I don't remember the Humpty Dumpty brand when I was a child. This is making me hungry! Yum! I need to go to the gym just thinking about it.....

The tomato ketchup ones were imported Walkers crisps, so I'd assume they are available in England. DB had tried them before in England.

Tomato Ketchup ones taste like french fries to me.  :) How far are you from Westford? That's where I got them.

I don't like pickles, but my mom likes them so I may have to try to find some for her to try!

I'll have to try the Chili ones. I might like those.  :)

It's possible. I have been gone for nearly 10 years. I miss both flavours!

Tomato Ketchup ones are great! I haven't seen the Walkers version in awhile, but Shoprite sells whatever their brand of crisps are in Ketchup.

In America, Kettle had a variety called Smoked Cheddar and Chipotle that was wonderful!  I really miss those.

My husband and I picked up a bag of Walkers Marmite last week and really didn't care for them at all, but they tasted nothing like Marmite.

I used to love Old Dutch ketchup chips!

My favourites here are some of the Kettle Crisp seasonal flavours. I've adored Wensleydale & Cranberry and White Stilton & Apricot. YUM!
