We are. My FIL auditioned!

Glad the American dude is gone. What a plank.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Wow, is he going to be on the show?

Glad the American dude is gone. What a plank.

Indeed!

Yes, just watched it now. I definitely felt like the second half of the episode was better with Louis there. I only thought one woman was quite good; the woman whose father wanted her to audition, she sang "I will always love you".

Not so sure if lowering the age to 14 will be so good in terms of whether kids can deal with such a high pressure situation. I guess we will have to see!

Cool!  Was he on tonight?

I didn't mind the American guy.  It was the British woman telling him to go back to America that got me.  Umm, even if he did, you still can't sing love.

The first woman on was wearing a maternity dress from Blooming Marvelous.  I know because I have it :-[  (She was 55 I believe)

Loved the first 14 year old and the last woman.

Aw, I love Brian Friedman and am kind of bummed he's not going to be a judge. But then, I've always liked Louis, too, so am glad he's back. Honestly, they could have got rid of Dannii Minogue and I wouldn't have been too bothered. She annoys me very much in some way I can't identify. But I guess maybe they didn't want three men and only one woman on the judging panel.

I was thinking the same thing about lowering the age to 14.  It seems kind of young to me.  I loved the woman who's father had gotten the application for her before he passed away; she was really good.  I'm glad Louis is back but I kind of liked the other guy.  Isn't he now choreographer or creative director or something for the show?  I agree with chary about Dannii Minogue, I'm not bovvered.

I'm with you on that as well!  I can't stand Dannii or Kylie minogue.  The two of them are so contrived.  I was looking forward to Brian Friedman trashing the contestants.  I am glad Louis is back.  He's a good foil for Simon.

I am not keen on the new presenter, Dermot O'Leary. I mean he's ok, but why is he better than Kate Thornton? And I don't like Fearne Cotton either on Xtra Factor, she is soooo annoying.

I agree with that. I really really liked Kate Thornton. Dermot's fine, but I don't understand why they needed to change.

Yeah, who was he? Totally obnoxious!

God, I HATED Kate Thornton!! Everything about her. The way she looked, talked, dressed, etc.  Every year I wished she would just go away and finally she did!

With you there!  She irritated me beyond belief.

I'm definitely watching! And I'm definitely glad that American fool is gone! He was such a jerk ... I got really bad vibes from him through the TV, I can only imagine how the other judges felt.

I'm also glad that that Kate woman isn't hosting it this year ... I think Dermot is super-cute and should be a really good host!

I'm standing by my love of all things Brian Friedman!

Did none of you see him as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance?!? He was so good!! To me, he perfectly combines Simon's snarkiness with Sharon's honesty. But he never gets as nasty as Simon, nor as ridiculously stupid as Sharon.

(A bit of trivia: He was also Christopher Walken's "dance double" in that Fatboy Slim video!)
