I agree, although I liked Alisha's version of Valerie.

I liked it, too, but it was a complete copycat cover of Amy Winehouse's version.

That girl group was atrocious last night, you coudln't even hear them singing above the band which just shows how weak their voices must be. Futureproof weren't great last night but at least they sang pretty well. Oh well, I doubt either would have made it into the final anyway.

I agree completely. The girl group were inaudible. Futureproof was better last night and, I think, has been consistently better throughout the competition - last night was their worst performance. Overall, I think they're definitely the stronger group, and it's a shame they got sent home although, as you say, neither one would have won.

Let me guess... Same Diff. did Reach for the Stars, right?

Ooooh, you're good!!  ;D

I only watch it for Rhydian and Same Difference.  Can't imagine why they entered, or why they're still there... and if they end up on my car radio I'll break the thing... but I'm very entertained at the moment!

This year's show seems to be more about "who sucks least" rather than who is the best.  Sanjaya would win hands down against this bunch.

Can someone please tell me who went home tonight? I'm watching the late night re-run and I'm about to fall asleep.
I can't believe I'm going to say this but I actually liked Rydian tonight.  ::)   But he's looking more and more like Max Headroom  :o

Aleesha went home. It was between her and Hope. I think Hope should have gone, what a mess.

So after the disco theme this week, they are having Mowtown next week. When is punk week or grunge week? or goth week? I can imagine Rhydian doing a Damned number. And how about Same Difference doing Anarchy in the UK?  ;D

They definitely deserved to be the bottom two. Both were pretty horrendous. Hope is weird - last week I thought they were fabulous. The week before that, dire. And, again, this week, awful. There's no consistency there, and I don't think they'll last long.

I LOVE HIM!!! I never thought I'd say that. The camp sailor thing was awesome!  ;D

LOL! Yes, they keep having the same themes every year: disco, Motown, Big Band, blah, blah, blah. It would be nice it they shook things up a bit.

That would be perfect for Rhydian! He is so Dave Vanian.

I'm glad Aleesha went. She wasn't very good.

I don't like Hope at all. I thought they were good the 1st week of the live show, but after that it went downhill fast. They are looking a bit worse for wear and has anyone noticed that most of the time what you are listening to when they are singing is a backing track?

Go Same Difference!!  ;D

I went to bed after Hope's performance. Everyone thought they were so great  ::)  I thought they were awful last night! Everything from their outfits down to their voices. They looked awkward and cheap. Very disappointing!

YUCK! Is that what it was?!  :o  I couldn't get past their outfits! That's probably why! Eeewwww...The grey one was the absolute worst and she's the 'best' vocalist of the group so she stood out more!

Yeah, Hope are pretty bad. That said, Alesha's performance was not very good either. Sharon really goofed with that song.

Rhydian was pretty darn good!! :D
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

OK, I haven't been in on the conversation til now!

Actually (don't hit me) I think Hope are really good. OK, their outfits this week were pretty awful. But I've noticed that a lot of so-called girl groups don't harmonize much, they tend to sing in unison a lot. This group actually harmonizes and they're on pitch. So that's my 2 pence worth on that.  ;D

Same Difference are just so squeaky clean they're unreal! They should have their own kids show.

I like Beverley and Niki the best. I never thought Alisha was that great and she was really off key last night. Leon bores me. Rhydian --well, he's just bizarre! But he's got an amazing voice, he should be on the West End.

Anyway...JMHO.  :D

Welcome to the conversation, Gina!  :)

I agree about Leon, and I'm surprised he's still in there. They keep talking about how popular he is, but that's something I can't really understand. Is he someone that young girls would like?!? If so, wow, have times changed since I was that age!! And what is it with his weird dance moves? He kind of sets his legs shoulder-width apart, knees bent, feet absurdly pointing outwards ... eeeeeeuw. I don't like it one bit.
