You lot got a screw loose or sommat?!

Irn Bru - I've always liked the stuff - it's not as 'harsh' as some have mentioned, it's definitley bubble gum'ey flavoured though, and cream soda type after taste.

Lilt is good stuff too ! along with cordial Vimto !

On my bottle of Irn Bru I have here it says 'bru'd in Scotland to a secret recipe for over 100 years' - not bad going for a not so well known drink compared to the big names!

I love irn bru, both diet and regular.

Irn Bru regular for hangovers, dodgy tummies and headaches all the way.

I don't like fizzy juice as a rule, and that's the only one I'll drink.

Ugh, the explanations of Irn Bru are making my stomach turn! I will probably try it, because I'm usually pretty brave, but I don't think I'll like it much!

I love Irn Bru - and agree to the bubble-gummy type taste.  It does have to be ICE COLD, though.

Can't drink a lot of it, though, so I usually just get one of those tiny cans of it, pop it in the freezer for a bit, then drink it rather quickly!

To me, it's orange-cough syrup flavoured tonic water.  It's tolerable but sooo sweet.

I've never, ever tried it.  Is it marketed as something specifically (energy drink, special flavor, etc.) or just as another type of soda?

I wouldn't really trust the descriptions in this thread, I don't think Irn Bru tastes anything like any of the things mentioned.  It's certainly less daunting to try than Dr Pepper.   ;)

Irn Bru tastes of Irn Bru, but in a pinch, I would say it tastes like fizzy bubble gum.

it's just soda (or 'fizzy juice' as we call it up here).
They do an energy variety of Irn Bru as well... i think it's called IrnBru 32.  Never tried that.

Don't forget WKD, the alcoholic Irn Bru.
