All I know is when I was in the Alps 20 years ago, I ordered Raclette, had absolutely no clue as to what it was.  they brought this heater thingy and a plate of vegetables to the table.  I thought I had really ordered the wrong thing, but it was soooo yummy.  and fun.  Dinner and entertainment!

That is what I am hoping for!

I hate being stuck in the kitchen when everyone else is having a good time!

This is the one I have ordered..........

we just love raclette.  I lived in Switzerland as a teen and raclette and fondue were my favorites.  You can get raclette cheese at Waitrose, have never seen it at any of the other grocery stores.  When we have raclette I serve it with boiled new potatoes, pickled baby onions, the Swiss/French cornichon gherkins and I also buy a selection of dried meats such as salami, parma ham, air dried beef.  Like fondue it is a fun dinner and so easy to clean up.

Have fun.
Kathryn
