What ethnic food could you eat on a daily basis?
« on: August 28, 2007, 05:21:08 PM »

I have just realised that other half doesn't like Mexican as much as I and really doesn't want it once a week....  :-\\\\ so it got me thinking.....what could I eat all the time without getting sick of.............

For me it would have to be chinese.... I never tire of it. (not takeaways though from around here)

Moroccan/Tunisian/North African

(I know it's not fair to dump it all in together, but you get the idea.)

With PC hat firmly on, I may not have titled this thread correctly.... no offence intended to anyone. :)

I'm not actually sure I could eat one ethnic food every day. My mother could easily eat Indian every day but I couldn't. I adore mexican and could easily have it once a week but to have every day I'd have to vastly expand my repertoire.

I think I like too many cuisines to settle on just one!

ETA - I could probably eat a helping of sushi every day, come to think of it, as long as I didn't have to make it!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

My MIL's traditional Caribbean chicken and rice-n-peas. The whole time I was pregnant with Emily I craved it really really badly. Damn customs, DH couldn't even bring it to me when he came. Do you know how hard it is to find pigeon peas in the US? We never could...so he couldn't even try to make it for me.

I would not want to eat any type of food every single day.  I need variety. I would probably get tired of any type of food that I had to eat once a week for a long period of time.
