That I will somehow be able to juggle our precarious money situation until I get a job and FH gets his student loan.

That I get temp work ASAP after I finish my dissertation.

My CV was requested for what is as close to my dream job as I will probably come in my current location. Hopefully, being contacted by the organization and specifically asked to apply means that I have a very good chance. Fingers crossed!

In addition to all my other stuff:  That a job I applied for that is WAY out of my career field grants me an interview.  I really, really want this and it would be so much fun!

1. That I secure more temp work or a regular part-time job.
2. That my husband & I find a nice, cheaper flat/house to rent.
3. That my loan cheque situation gets sorted soon!
4. That a date is set for my panel in October.
5. That my husband gets a more stable job(s) within the next couple months (one PT job he has is permanent, the other PT job ends in November).
6. That I won't have any worries in regards to my fertility.

My update:
1. I currently have a couple of temp jobs (lasting a few weeks or less). I have also made an appointment for a NIN and have been contacting agencies and applying for jobs. It is quite exhausting at the moment, but I am grateful for the money and hope for more regular work soon.
2. We just found out today that the house we are interested in renting (£410/month versus the £129/week we are currently paying) will be available 1 November and just need to confirm things with the landlords.
3. The student support representative assures me my loan cheques situation is sorted.
4. My panel has been set for 25 October at 3PM and I am already close to finishing a draft.
5. He just secured an alternating weekend job as a library porter. He also has been put on a redeployment scheme at the university he works at.
6. I am still waiting to find out.

that a possibility of a certain something works out in my favor (not putting what the certain something is here yet because it's so very tentative and I don't want to jinx it!)

Does this thread exist? I looked but couldn't find it!

So, I'll start:

I'm really looking forward to getting my spousal visa application finished and not giving a toss about the Visa/Citizenship board on this forum! I've spent way too much time on it in the past 2 days.  ;D

Finishing the move to the new place and setting it up. Overall, I'm really looking forward to not having to move every year.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Heading up to Durham later this month for a postgrad open day.  My second favorite city in England (1st is York)!
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Immediate:
Going to bed in clean, crisp sheets tonight

Not quite as immediate:
Next weekend - In London with some good friends
Two weekends after that - at the Bath Literature Festival

Slightly long term:
Buying a house in Cornwall and moving in with my boyfriend!
Getting engaged and planning a wedding!

Well I hope that you get your visa so you can breathe easy.
I know it drove me insane.
*Yank or Yankee is one of the lesser derogatory slang terms for any American, whether from New England or not.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yankee
*The Oxford English Dictionary states that one of the earliest theories on the word derivation is from the Cherokee word "eankke" for coward as applied to the residents of New England.

You don't hear me calling you a bloody brit, so don't call me a yank!
