I'm most looking forward to finding out the status of my visa! I feel naked without my passport!

I'm going to copy Chary's approach

Immediate: The weekend! It's been a long week, and am looking forward to some down time.

Not quite as immediate: My brother/sister-in-law/nephews visit in March and my trip home for my best friend's wedding in May

Slightly long term: Going to live in Belgium for 3 months this summer and finding a new (and hopefully better) job when I return.

I like Chary's approach, too.

Immediate: getting the @!ing visa

Not quite as immediate: getting settled in a new house / new country

Slightly long-term: meeting lots of new people, hopefully some from UK-Y

I'm most looking forward to:

1) Spending Spring Break with my aunt and American cousins (haven't seen them in close to 2 years).

2) Having one of my close friends come to visit me here in May (haven't seen her since March 2006).

3) Taking a trip back to England in July and seeing my parents again (won't have seen them in 7 months) :).

Now that I've got my FLR visa, I'm looking forward to the next time my hubby and I go to Ireland!  [smiley=clover2.gif]

Just make sure you get that stamp!

I'm looking forward to getting my ILR in May.

Soon-ish:  A fun weekend trip with a friend. :)

Immediate:  a hot bath with lots of bubbles and smelly candles.

Not so immediate:  longer days

Long-Term:  having two kids who can get on and off any form of transport on their own without assistance, buggies, wanting or needing picked up, etc.

Using a bit of magick ;)...I plundered the Chit Chat archive to resurrect & combine a couple of what were really lovely threads in the past:  'What are you crossing your fingers for?' and 'What are you most looking forward to?'  Thanks to Elynor & sevans for starting these waaaay back.  :)

Reading over them I was struck at how much has come to pass for the posters - marriages, babies born, papers done & degrees conferred, visas or even citizenship obtained, moves to either the US or UK, etc.  Anyone want to update (after all this time)?

And what are we looking forward to or crossing our fingers for these days?  As for me:

1) Spring - hope it comes soon!  And...

2) Holidays - we've got holidays planned so far this year for Cornwall, Northumberland (again), plus a couple of walking weekends.

(Although on a cold day like this, I am dreaming of being back in Cadiz!  *sigh*)

I'm crossing my fingers that we will soon have some clarity about what we'll be doing after 30th May.  :-\\\\

I'm most looking forward to the travel we have planned this spring. The biggest thing is a trip to Boston in April where DH is running the marathon! My parents are coming up for the week as well.

And as always, spending time with family and friends and FOOD!!!
