We usually use a spreadable butter (whatever's on special but Anchor's my favourite) for spreading and I use full fat butter for baking.

I'm a butter eater - I'd rather eat a little of something naughty that tastes good than a lot of something healthier that I can't stand!  My daughter loves Bertolli (olive oil spread) which I don't think is any lower in fat but has 'better' fat not being a dairy product.

Butter!

Growing up, my mom only ever had margarine in the house. As soon as I started buying my own groceries, it's been butter, and I'll never go back!

I have olive oil spread for toast and sandwiches but always have salted and unsalted butter on hand for baking and cooking.

I never had butter growing up, being raised by an eccentric father. I only had it when visiting my Aunt Betty who worked for the dairy board so it was butter and homogenized all the way ;D

I now have only butter. Other half likes the spreadable Anchor. I like to treat myself to the normandy stuff on occasion and have been known to lug butter back from France.

My dad, bless him, has now moved on to SPRAY BOTTLE BUTTER  :o

Freaked me out big time whenever I saw him spraying his toast.....

Real butter for baking and on "good" breads by itself.
Sainsbury's sunflower spread or Bertolli olive oil spread for sandwiches.
Rapeseed Oil Spray for my oven chips, hash browns and the like.

Bertolli for toast and such, real butter for baking. I always have both items on hand.

I use Lurpak lighter for spreading but much, much prefer full-on butter. I've been toying with getting rid of the spread altogether as we really only use it for toast in the morning and I'm not convinced that the "lighter" aspect makes a huge difference. I quit using Flora, etc. not too long ago when I decided that a few less fat grams/calories didn't justify eating chemicals....

margarine in all its forms is pure evil. my gram taught me to hate it when i was a kid, and hot damn, do i!

we only buy kerrygold irish butter. i only use it sparingly on toast. dh uses it like it's going out of style.
