Well, I'm not surprised. Totally predicatable ending. Bah. Jane is SO not cut out for this.

I agree. Her crying didn't really bother me too much during the series, but in the finale I just wanted to slap her. Not only is she not cut out for it, I don't think their relationship is really cut out for it either.

Ah, well. I think the twins will do well. I can see them opening a place on their own and being successful. I hope so, anyway!

Anyone watching the new season series of this?  We are - although we're an episode behind...still need to watch last night's.

I'm waiting to see if the Happy Happy Joy Joy (lovey-dovey cuddly) woman's demeanor is going to crumble.  Am I awful?  >:D

I love this programme so much I can't even put it into words!  [smiley=heart.gif] [smiley=heart.gif] [smiley=heart.gif]

I'm all caught up with episodes, but I'm not sure who the happy-happy woman is. Am I missing something??

I've missed a few eps but I do love it. Unfortunately, we're missing lots of stuff that's on at 8 lately because of kiddie issues.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

The 'Cheerful Soul' woman - put me off the first time she started talking about how she wanted their restaurant to be a cuddle, blah blah.  :-X  But I have new respect for her...after watching her lose her cool on that last episode (I mean - come on! I don't know anyone who is a 'cheerful soul' all the time...especially in the face of that kind of pressure!).  It was good to see there is a human being (full range of emotions) there behind what looked to be a (fake?) all-smile, all the time.  :P

I knew those flight attendant guys weren't going to go very far - they just didn't seem to care all that much!

They were pathetic. And their silly sorbet thing? Ridiculous.

What? No one wanted a 'cheerful soul' sticker attached to their kid??  ::)  ;D That was such a bad idea.

Plus she kept arguing & being defensive about the stuff that they clearly did wrong!  ???

Just caught up on our The Restaurant watching for this week...  I was almost certain that our Yorkshire boy was going to go, because sadly I think he's out of his league.  However, I was sure glad to see Mike (and the stick that's up his posh ars*) get the boot, but I felt sorry for Harriet because I think she could be good - if she could have just told daddy to shove off.

We though the same thing here. Felt sorry for Harriet, but her dad was a cheeky so and so at times like when he was getting some money off those women and asked if he could keep the change for a tip!  :o He was SO annoying.

I read on a blog somewhere that Harriet is now cooking in a restaurant somewhere - I'm thinking maybe it said Islington (??)...but sans daddy.  If so, good for her!

That is good news. I thought she was lovely, but Dad was a big giant LOSER.

BBC iPlayer is downloading last night's episode for me this very minute!

Oh I fear our Yorkshire boy's day is numbered...he persists in being utterly ridiculous!  Something he said last night (something very Yorkshire sounding) - DH and I started laughing, and I said - poor lad, he needs to come back to Yorkshire and cook some pie and mash.  :P  (I think the only reason he's lasted as long as he has, might possibly be down to Raymond's French Republican sympathies - particularly after last week's debacle at the Oxford college...and I read a commentary from Raymond somewhere that despite the fact that Chris really screwed up not cooking the separate meals for the dons & students....Ray harboured a secret admiration for him that he did that - albeit unwittingly.)

Was really surprised that Alasdair and James managed to stay out of this week's challenge - but I think Raymond was hard pressed to decide between them and Lindsie and Tim.  Guess he decided to give Alasdair and James a break for a week.

I have to admit even I was cringing at the Mexican night, and the carrots and greens wrap I think it was which was served when they ran out of food had me yelling 'no no don't do it!' at the tv.  ;D
