I can resist the thighs!

I for one am planning to watch as much of the rugby world cup as britwife will allow me. I love rugby union, what a great sport. I got into it during the last RWC when England won and I've been pretty much into it since.

As a proud Welsh-American, I'll be supporting the lads in red of course, though we don't have much of a chance this year. I'm happy when any of the Home Countries do well though and we live in Scotland now so it would be nice to see them do well.

I've developed a healthy respect for New Zealand from watching them over the years -- what an awesome rugby team and the haka is really one of sport's great spectacles -- but I can't really root for them. It's sort of like rooting for the Red Sox in baseball, the Evil Empire. Plus, if the Kiwis won you know you'd never hear the end of it.

Oggy oggy oggy oi oi oi!
It sure ain't cricket!

Anyone see the Argentina v France upset last night?

How about those watching  the New Zealand Haka?  Is that intimidating to the other team?  Men in black makes me think of Will Smith, "Here come the men in black..."

I'm not really that into rugby but I'm supporting the All Blacks.

The type of haka performed by the ABs is a challange to war so it is supposed to be intimidating, sort of. I mean rugby is only a game, right?  ;D

I cannot believe the score is already 43- 0 to the All Blacks, not even the end of the first half.

edit to add final score of 76 -14 to the All Blacks, quite the high score.

Scotland

YAAAAYYYY!!

The USA gave England a bit of a scare in my opinion.  Argentina beating France, not so surprising (it's been done in the past).  Shock of the weekend for me was Ireland - they should have trounced namibia!
