Luciano Pavarotti has died

really sad to hear this on the news this morning.

(but also hopeful--he had pancreatic cancer & he lived for a year with it. my grampa had it 30 years ago and was dead within two weeks of his diagnosis.)

my favourite pavarotti memory has got to be his guest-starring bridge in U2's 'miss sarajevo'.

I came back from vacation to this news.  So sad.  I think I'm going to put "Nessun Dorma" on repeat for a few hours.

I was listening to his funeral on the radio last night and there was lots of 'Nessun Dorma-ing.' Beautiful stuff.
