Today I'm taking my driving test and I'm already really nervous :(

Any advice?

Use that parking brake whenever you stop, do a Y turn, anything!  Good luck!

Take your time and don't feel rushed. That was the big difference between my first and second test. Also, for me, not chatting helped as well. We talked so much during my first test that I lost focus and reverted to my US way of driving.

Good luck!

Good luck! I'm gearing up for mine as well, so I understand the jitters.  You'll do well!

No advise because I decided a long time ago not to drive over here so I can only say best wishes!

Let us know how it went.  :)

Use your mirror and hand-brake loads. But relax as much as you can too.

Good Luck!

Does this mean i have to be careful on the streets of glasgow when i get there?  ;)

Hiya

Good luck!

no real advice as I took my test back in 91. I think things have changed a little since then but the usual basics apply, keep calm, deep breaths and concentrate at what the examiner says to you at the time. Don't be afriad to talk to the examiner and only mention beforehand you're a little nervous and will try to relax during the test. Examiners know people are nervous etc and do make allowance. I made 3 mistakes on my test, 1 non fault, and 1 becuase i forgot to indicate but was in the correct land and 1 where I was at about 36 mph instead of 33 max - I passed it was my first time and i made a couple stupid errors on the then non failable part ofthe test - the highway code section.

good luck!

I failed  :\\\'(

It was my reverse around the corner - I ended too far away from the curb. :(

Thanks guys!  I've already booked my second test, so hopefull I'll pass that time.

I think it was my nerves that got the best of me.  It should be easier the second time because I'll know what to expect!

Just wish I hadn't told everyone at work! I was smart though - called my friend at work and told her, that way they can all gossip about it before I get back in tomorrow!!
