For those looking for cranberry sauce, tesco.com does have Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce on their site.

My big dilemma right now.... my family does Broccoli Casserole every year (and oh yes, it's like heaven) however, I need a can of creamed corn for it... and *shocking* I can't find any.  Any ideas?  I'm starting to think I'm going to have to figure out how to make it and then add it to the casserole (but that's just one more thing I have to make and really don't want to).

Where in the world is the creamed corn?  :P

I wish we could swap...they have Del Monte creamed corn at a shop here in Dublin, but I can't find those crispy onions for my green bean casserole ANYWHERE!  >:( I had no problem finding them in England and I didn't think they'd be hard to find here so I left it too late to order them or have my mom send me some from the US.

THANKS SOOO MUCH!!! I'm thinking I could probably make it on Thursday or Friday so it's one less thing I have to stress about the day of pseudo-Turkey Day.  But you're right, it does sound easy enough and adding some bacon to it may be nice too... ;D

Someone told me it is here, somewhere - but I don't know where because I've never looked for it.  Maybe try a different shop?

You used to get it here.

Lidl had big jars of cranberry sauce yesterday. But you can get Ocean Spray in some of the bigger supermarkets.

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

If I could find some I would totally send them to you!  Don't know how long it takes to get mail to Dublin, but I assume no more than a few days....

Thanks, that's so nice! It's okay though...we're having our Thanksgiving on Thursday, so I'm not sure I trust the Irish mail to get it to me on time. I have a couple of other places to look before I totally give up hope.

In preparing for Thanksgiving, I wanted to know if anyone has a good extra stuffing recipe - that is for the stuffing that doesn't go in "the bird".  In the States I admit I used to get the bags that were so easy to make, but Paxo just seems to make a little ball of stuffing.  Any recipes?

This is the stuffing recipe that I followed (loosely) last year, and probably will again this year:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bobby-flay/country-bread-and-sage-dressing-recipe/index.html

I don't know who 'Bobby Flay' is or even what 'country bread' is - but I just tend to use the recipe as a starting point & then go off on my own tangent with things.  :)

I found this recipe for the creamed corn (I'm one of those that operates with recipes)...

do you think it would be ok to substitute regular plain white flour for cornmeal?

I think I might be afraid that would make it a bit too stodgy. You could give it a go though and maybe just add more milk if it gets too thick.

I cheated and bought a pie at whole foods - was delish!

I did make the pioneer' woman cooks Oreo Peanut Butter pie and it was amazing!
