Sarahjoyhappy!
You don't have to do that! That is sooo nice of you! Let me see what I can find this weekend and if I am desperate, I may take you up on that offer! That is seriously so nice though!

It's really no problem.  :)  I'm just down the road from the post office and we won't use them.  Let me know if you need them.

French fried onions - they're not Durkee (or whatever the brand is in the US), but if you look in the grocery store (you might need to try more than one!) around the salad dressings & condiments (that's where they are in Morrisons) - there is a product here in a plastic tub called something like 'crispy salad onions' or some such.  I remember the container being sort of opaque & the label has orange colouring on it.

Someone was suggesting on another thread (or was it this one?) - substituting either custard powder or Angel Delight for pudding mix, if that's what you mean.
Love your description of the product, Mrs. R.  :D

What we call "pudding" in the US is properly corn starch pudding, so using custard powder is a good suggestion because it's basically corn starch/corn flour. You could also just use the corn flour if you didn't want the custard flavouring.

Why do you need vanilla pudding for pumpkin pie? I've never heard of this...

You'll probably really play it - like you strumming the guitar & playing it yourself, right?  :)

Wonder how the pumpkin pie my friend is making will be. I'm bringing sweet potatoes to the dinner.

Oh man, what a fantastic Thanksgiving I had today. Just awesome!!!   [smiley=smitten.gif] [smiley=smitten.gif] [smiley=smitten.gif] [smiley=smitten.gif] for good friends!!!

I brined my turkey overnight in cloudy apple juice, ginger, allspice, salt, sugar, pepper,  and oranges- rinsed it (and picked the feathers out, hehehe- farm fresh!) - then cooked it in herbs and butter- made an herb gravy- heaven.

All my food came out awesome.

I'm so knackered now. So much fun though!!! :) :)
