I was too when I started.  Once you have a couple lessons it's not so scary, and now a year after getting my license, it really isn't any more scary than driving in the US.  It's just taking that first step.  You can do it!

Just passed my test too!!  I'm never reversing around another corner in my life!!

I'm curious, at what stage can you get a license to drive? My fiance says I'll be the driver of the family cause he never has and since I drive everywhere here in the states. I don't mind driving there...let me correct that, I'm scared to DEATH of driving there so the longer I have to wait to get my license the better.

You can drive immediately upon arrival (for one year), assuming you have a valid US license.  At the end of that year, you'll need to be driving on a UK license, so you'll need to apply for a UK provisional license and pass your theory and practical tests within that time.
