Visiting the UK To Much
« on: September 28, 2007, 03:45:19 AM »
I've been to the UK three times in under a year. I'm a student and my boyfriend lives in England & it's cheaper for me to visit him. So my question is can I get denied entrance when I try to come back in the beginning of Feb? ( I'm planing on using my frequent flyer miles then) Our friend's are getting married in Scotland in Feb.

My first trip was on

Nov 3, 06 - Nov 18, 06

Dec 27, 06 - Jan 19, 07

Sept 3, 07 - Sept 23, 07

Thank you for any help on this topic! ???

hi i think it depends on the Immigration officer you get.... i went in 11 times last year, twice we went to france, and then to spain.... but ialways got stamped back in when i went back home to the states, i did get grilled with questions one time, but not enough to get to sit on the bench..about why i was coming and what i was doing .....i think they will put a W or something on your passort meaning warning? just be honest.. tell them that.. your boyfriend is studying here..

Thank goodness I have been honest every time, I don't think I come off as dodgey or anything.

That doesn't look like a number of visits that would cause alarm, lots of people do more. As long as you've always got a return ticket and don't say anything that sounds like you plan to stay or look for work, you'll be fine. :)

If you are worried bring the usual evidence that you have a job/school/lease back in the U.S.  If you are going for a weddign take along an invitation, it can't hurt.
