hi ricki, what kind of dog is sampson, or am i being stupid and you have said that already
Hi G. Yes he's a German Shep as another poster had mentioned.

Pebbles, good to hear the haltie collar is working. My dog is a rescue dog and was probably 2-3 when I got her and she was wild! and I invested in the training lessons
and got her a good collar and it has made all the difference in the world. Good luck to you :)
Thanks! I haven't had much time to work with him as I had a bad foot last week and this week we're all housebound with gastrointestinal something or another.

Has anyone ever tried this?  http://www.gentleleader.co.uk/

Our dog was a rescue (German Shepherd mix) and is quite a puller.  If a squirrel's in view, that's all she wrote.  The gentle leader worked a treat although it looks, hmm, cruel.  We stopped using it after my huz's daughter started calling it the gentle torture device.  That made us feel bad and ashamed.   :-[  But it did work.  I think we may go back to it.

And I can't remember what her name is...But there's a dog training lady on Channel 4(?) who has some good dog training ideas.  Victoria something or other.  I dunno, it's on our On Demand.  I call her the dog dominatrix lady.

Yes I bought a 'Halti' headcollar for Samson which is the same type of thing.

Victoria Sitwell and the show is called "It's Me or the Dog." I read in Radio Times that the wardrobe was the producers' choice, not hers.

A lot of her principles are the same as Cesar Millan's -- that a dog needs lots of exercise and to know who's in charge.
Another shameless promotion for www.mclevey.com, the best place on the internet to buy art.
