Waitrose! Libby's Canned Pumpkin...

I stopped by Waitrose tonight and found it amongst the canned fruit...I took the last five cans on the shelf 

I meant to add that I'm currently enjoying some damn tasty pumpkin oatmeal cookies my husband just made.

If anyone is near a Fenwick, they have tinned pumpkin, big marshmallows, Oreos, Karo syrup, etc., year round.  If I'm missing an American product, I always check Fenwick first and am almost never disappointed!

Whilst busy stripping the shelves of pumpkin at the Waitrose on Canary Wharf, I was talking to one of the managers there and he told me to just give them a call and let them know when I need it and they will get it for me and set it aside, just give them a few days notice. They don't even expect me to purchase a minimum amount either.  I had found it on Ocada (is that the right name?) food delivery, which is affiliated with Waitrose, but they wanted a £40 minimum order and that's a heck of a lot of pumpkin (I don't like doing home delivery myself).  Oh, I DID leave one tin of pumpkin behind, if somebody is headed to Canary Wharf.

Leave one for me!  Canary Wharf is my nearest Waitrose .

It was there yesterday afternoon, and I did tell the manager when speaking to him that rumour was rife in the American community that Waitrose was THE place for tinned pumpkin and we were desperate this time of the year, so perhaps they have restocked the shelves by now.  If not, ask him.

Waitrose do re-stock the pumpkin.  I bought 2 cans yesterday leaving one on the shelf and today there were 5 cans on the shelf.  So no need to panic buy.

Except in NI, where we are not blessed with Waitrose.  :\\\'( I have a couple of cans for my Thanksgiving cheesecake, but now I'm having major cravings for pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies...

I need to stop torturing myself by reading this thread.

My Waitrose got some around the end of October/beginning of November last year. So don't lose hope if they don't have it yet.
