My DD is totally hooked on this show.  After everyone has been raving about it on here, I suggested she watch it.  Now, she's a total Heros geek!  I haven't watched yet..

You will have to!  It really is quite good!

It's great so far, I like the new characters.

Me too!  Love the guy with glasses who has been in loads of stuff (forget his name), including an episode of Entourage!

I knew I recognised him!  The others seem interesting too, it will be cool to see what their powers are.

Welcome to UK TV my darling.  It was one of my con's when I was thinking about moving here :P

Yes, it IS a pain having to wait months for your favourite show but I far prefer to wait and then watch them in one steady go - rather than the USA's notorious habit of showing a few episodes, then showing reruns...then more shows...then more reruns.....

They will only be available online if you are watching from the US (maybe Canada too), they have been doing this for a while.

True.  But I was talking about NBC Direct, their new online app that will allow people to download shows directly to their PC (for a price, of course).  They've been vague about some of it, so I don't know if it will be available in the UK.  I'm assuming it will, though, since it involves people giving them money. ;)

Now, she's a total Heros geek!

Tell her "Welcome to the club!" ;D

I agree with that, it's so nice not having to wait to see what happens.  And a few shows (one being Lost) have started up where they are almost right behind where they are in the US.  I think it was a week behind last year.

I'd imagine it would still be the case that you can't download the shows from the UK, even if you are paying for them because the TV networks usually try to prevent users from outside the US from obtaining the episodes before they have been aired in the UK/wherever they are - the websites can trace your IP address/connection info to the country you're in. As far as I am aware, UK users cannot downloads TV shows from the US itunes site, nor can they buy music downloads from US websites (even though they are cheaper in the US :( ).

You can buy stuff from the US iTunes if you have a US address and credit card.  DH does it all the time and just uses my address and card.  :D

Yeah, that's true - but unfortunately most Brits don't have a US address and credit card number they can use to do that :( .
