Now, ours hate Felix - won't eat it at all, even the roasted stuff!  They're okay about Whiskas.  However, they much prefer the Sainsbury's brand duck and chicken & lamb with gravy.  They love their gravy!

They'll eat almost any dry food, though.

Oh, yeah!  Forgot about our two picky monsters.  They won't eat any wet food other than Meow Mix - so guess who gets to pack cat food in her suitcase every. single. trip.?   I've tried every brand I can find in the UK and they turn up their little noses at all of it!  :P  Thankfully, they'll eat GoCat dry food.

Hah!! You must love those cats if you give up room in your suitcase to fill with catfood!  I didn't realize cats could be so picky.  Won't they just eat anything if they get hungry enough?

I miss my picky kitty!  He's a massive gravy fan - he loves the Meow Mix pouches.  My Mom spoils him rotten more than I did when I lived in the states!

Branston pickle and Chicago Town Pizza are pretty much the only "musts" in our house.  I'm a Miracle Whip fan myself and have been cursing Tesco since they've stopped selling it!  Thankfully my Mom just came over recently.   ;)

I am down to my last jar of Miracle Whip but thankfully we are going home to the States in a month so I can get a new supply. I was Not a happy camper either when Tescos & Morrisons stopped carrying Miracle Whip.  [smiley=disappointed.gif]   >:(

Our cats are picky as well they will only eat Purina One Adult Chicken cat food that we can get at Tescos thankfully. the neighbors loved it when we tried a few different brands of cat food an our cats wouldn't eat any of it cause there cats will eat anything you give them.

Ditto on the Fairy Liquid and Hellman's mayo (and never the vile 'lite' stuff). Persil and Comfort are the only detergent and fabric softener I like. I have tried the other stuff, and it didn't cut it, mostly because it didn't smell as nice. Most importantly, however, is my Tropicana Smooth OJ. Yes, I prefer fresh squeezed, but when it comes to stuff in bottles or cartons, nothing's as good as Tropicana.

A while ago I developed a serious problem with Mint Magnums. And, one day, in desperation I was reduced to buying Somerfield's own brand of pretend Mint Magnums which are, obviously, much cheaper. You know what? They're way better!

I have to drink name brand sodas (coke,dr pepper, sprite etc) The taste of generic soda makes me ill.
As for washing up liquid, I only use persil.
PIzza is the same way, only chicago town. nothing else

Once I thought Id save money and buy asdas own mince meat...never again! its just horrible. I only go to butchers for meat now

Hmmm, Heinz Ketchup for sure as well as Hellman's.  We get the Heinz Weight Watchers Beans, they are the only ones that Rich likes.  We shop at Sainsbury's and I am pretty happy with most of their own brand things.  I love their Taste the difference Pizza's.  We also must have Robinson's Orange squash, nothing else will do.  I'm a tropicana girl as well, the other stuff tastes icky to me.  I like Annie's Mac and Cheese, but I don't eat it often anymore.  I do have a box in the Larder though that I've had for months.  I might have to have it soon.

I usually have to have Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, the rest don't compare for me.  Though recently I wanted a plain chocolate and Rich brought home Green And Blacks.  Thumbs up on that one.

Oh yes, Ben and Jerry's rock! But Green and Blacks are pretty impressive, too.

We prefer Tropicana but when on a budget crunch, will buy the higher end store brand. In the US it has to be Jif peanut butter but here it's Skippy. I'm not fussed about bread brands for the most part. But I do also prefer name brand soda (Coke, etc) though I'm not drinking it nearly as much now.

We always buy Hellmans though I have had some decent store brands. DH swears the Italian dried pasta is better than the store brand but I'm not so sure.

As most of our food is freshly prepared, we don't have all that many brand names I guess. Which makes me wonder why our food bill is always so high!!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Yes you are doing really well if that's all you're spending Carly! We spend about the same on the basics but always end up buying more stuff through the week.

I too enjoy Ben & Jerry's ice cream but it is so expensive here so we only buy it when it is on sale. but since I have been on my diet I couldn't tell you the last time we bought any Ben & Jerry's ice cream or any other kind of ice cream. but I do really enjoy Del Monte Fruit Smoothie juice bars. I also only like Tropicana orange juice, but we don't buy it that often cause it is to expensive. fondly enough the only kind of squash I like is ASDA's own SF Strawberry squash, Dh prefers Somerfields SF Lemon squash. we aren't to fussed about what kind of paper towel we have. since I started my diet I think our grocery bill has more than almost tripled cause we go more often to make sure we have fresh produce in the house.  :o   ::)
