Now I know someone who has recently goen there...so spill the details Ms. P.!  Actually, we might be joining a group of friends there this August for a weekend.  So all of you who have been there.  What's hot?  What's not?  Any suggestions for places to stay and things to do? Food?

FOOD!!!!

We ate ourselves silly!!  The food is amazing there.  Had Czech food the entire time (though there are KFC and McDonalds - where you can have BEER with your meal, thank you very much!).

I have photos but can't seem to get them in my post?!  :'(  Somebody help, please.  I've got them stored at www.photobucket.com.

August is the hottest month in Prague - high is about 71F / 20C.  I can live with that!  Might want to join you... ;)

I suggest staying at a hotel that is in a residential district rather than smack in the middle of the city.  We stayed at one that was about a 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro station.  Of course, if you're determined enough, the whole city is "walking distance."  We took the Metro in the first morning, but ended up walking all over the city and then walking back to the hotel!

We got our "Learn Czech" materials from Amazon yesterday - and I have a friend in Miami who is Czech so she's going to help us along.  I really fell in love with Prague.  I cannot wait to go back.

If only someone could help me with these darn photos!  :P
