ROTFLMAO -- I keep looking at that pic and can't find ONE THING that looks reasonable!  hee hee!  :D

(no offense to your bro, R, I'm sure he's a good guy, but man, has that woman got bad taste in fashion!)

So I wasn't going to say anything but here it goes.

I can't believe someone would take the time and effort to make that!

OMG!

And ... how in the world did you get out of being a bridesmaid!!?  :P

ha ha ha!! Yeah I know it's horrible! I wanted to share the pics of the wedding when she first sent them but I was too lazy to downsize the files. You wouldn't even believe the cake! Another tragedy! The entire wedding was a shambles!

H, I got out of it two ways... 1. Frank couldn't get time off work so I could go to CA. and 2. When I heard it was a cowboy themed wedding I instantly came up with a million excuses why I coudn't go!  ;D

I may send that pic to that website. lol

OMG!!!  Pebbles that is classic!

I've been a bridesmaid twice. (Thank god, I hate being in wedding's and hope my sister's is the last one I have to be in)  First time we wore lilac.  The color was eh, but the dress was pretty.  We paid $250 for the dress in 1997!!!!  Imagine what it would be now! The last one was really nice and only cost $100.  I found a great site on-line that I bought it from after my friend told me what to get.  It's two piece and black, so I'll get to wear it again.

For my wedding I had told the ladies I wanted black and the design was up to them.  Three of them lived in NYC and went together to look.  They found a gorgeous dress that fit all of them well. (They were all different shape)  They all ended up getting the dress at the same on-line shop, also $100.  I bought my SIL's since that was the tradition in the UK and Rich brought it back to her after he came to visit me.  They all looked great especially my sister who was the MOH.

Oy vey!  :P  I knew this thread would turn out interestingly!

I'd be tempted to send that pic in to the ugly dress website, too but then it would be just your luck your brother's (5th) ex would see it.  And that wouldn't be very nice at all, poor thing.  :-\\\\

I know that's what I was thinking. My scumbag brother just packed up and left her when she went to work last Tues. Never said a word to her and she's hysterical. I just don't know what to say to her  :\\\'(

Oh dear, that's terrible.  Maybe just give her a call offering a shoulder to cry on?  I guess that all depends on how close you were.  I'm guessing not very.  And from my experience the jilted one usually doesn't keep in contact with the jilter's family... :(

She's on Yahoo IM now but I just don't know what to say to her. It's a very ugly situation. Worse than the dresses if that's possible!  ::)

I was in a friend's wedding in 2003 and she had us buy dresses from David's Bridal.  They were sage green, which was fine for everyone else because they all had lovely olive skin.  Me, I am so pale, I am almost translucent.  And at the time, my hair was still blonde, so, I just sorta disappeared.  Mine had to be taken in loads because my chest is rather large but my waist is small.  Well, basically, the day of the wedding, the dress looked like a tent on me and one of the straps broke right after the ceremony.  Luckily, I had a spare black top that looked fab with the skirt.  So, in all the reception pictures, I look different than the rest of the bridesmaids.   :P

Pebbles.

That bride's dress, let alone the bridesmaid dresses...

Lucky you dodged that bullet.

And thanks for putting a smile in my day.   :)

OMG Pebbles. I wish I had a photo of my BIL's mother's wedding. It was also cowboy themed!!! Her dress was like... turquoise blue with scary embelishments just like the one in your picture, and the groomsmen! My poor BIL! He had to wear a hideous cowboy hat, white western-styled jacked (WITH FRINGE!!!!!!!!!) and BOLO TIES! OMG it's the most hilarious photo and I don't have it. I wish I did, SO FUNNY!

You do not know the half of it. The first time I saw the picture, I was in tears laughing. It almost looks like it was Halloween and they all decided to make fun of a cowboy themed wedding and dress as ridiculously as humanly possible, and succeeded.

I have eight bridesmaid dresses, all horrible except for one. Most of them are one-time-only dresses, with ridiculous pastels and ass bows. One of my sisters-in law, however, gave her bridesmaids the choice of buying whatever we wanted, remotely pinkish, and something we knew we'd wear again. I thought that was a great idea, so for you from or near D.C., I went to Lord and Taylor's and bought a gorgeous (albeit expensive) dress, but at least I wasn't wearing an overpriced dress with a big bow on the back. I've also been to a women's only party where you had to wear the ugliest bridesmaid's gown you'd ever been compelled to wear. It was quite a laugh.
