What's the deal with the ice cream/jelly/jam thing? Strawberry topping is a bit like jam, isn't it? Goes yummy on a sundae.

It takes a lot to make me gag but you just did it.  Corndog + bluberries  [smiley=bleck.gif]

Well if it helps, there's nothing actually corndoggy (made that one up :P) about it other than the shape. It's a blueberry pancake wrapped around a sausage link and put on a stick. Still yucky in my opinion, but not as yucky as blueberries in a corndog. [smiley=bleck.gif]

My favourite breakfast at the moment is, I am ashamed to say...

-American style big fluffy pancakes
-Blueberries
-Vegetarian sausages (good ones)
-maple syrup

...all on the same plate!!!!

It's sooooo good, and I blame all of YOU LOT for making me try something so un-English and loving it!!!

That's ALL WRONG.  Yes and quite a mystery as to how the coke thing actually works....

The deep-fried sweet thing has always bothered me.  Why? Why?

What brand, and where do you get them? I have yet to find a veggie sausage here that I really like, especially for breakfast.  :(

Cauldron are the best.  They also do tofu, mushroom burgers and other great stuff.  They are in most supermarkets and health food stores.

However, tesco and sainsbury have both just launched their own brand veggie sausages, which are surprisingly good.  You can find them in the frozen section, in bags!

My meat eating boyfriend loves them, so they can't be bad!

I'll have to try them as DH has hated every mock meat I've gotten him to try so far!

It is not just PB&J that seems to put us Brits off, it is PB in general.  We did have it as kids, but only ever on toast, well-buttered.

And how is this for a culture clash?  For a while, in the UK you could get peanut butter with a hint of marmite.  It works very well, adds a depth and savouriness to the peanut butter which is sometimes a bit sweet for my taste.

I love peanut butter on well-buttered toast.  It's one of my comfort foods, even moreso than the PB&J sandwich itself!

My nephew, pickiest little 8 year old out there, loves peanut butter sandwiches. Never with jelly, but with butter, on toast and with, get this, lettuce and cheese. I don't understand how the kid can eat them [smiley=bleck.gif]
