Pretentious cow... yes!   I definitely don't like Ina!
Why does she always, ALWAYS wear the same shirt, just in a different colour?

I dont think i've ever seen Rachel Ray, thankfully... she sounds like someone i wouldnt like.  I thought i was seeing her once, but it was a different Rachel... an Irish Rachel, who wasn't obnoxious.

That's Rachel Allen. She does lovely dishes and wears lovely jumpers and doesnt ever seem to get them dirty LOL :P She is very self-assured.
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.

I like Rachel Allen's show but if you look at tbe BBC food boards it seems al ot of people hate her! Apparently she is not a chef and got the show because her mother is something big in the catering world. I don't care, it's a very relaxing show to watch and I like how she has theses for what she's making like "lunch with the girls" or "food for the boys watching the rugby" !!

I utterly despise R.Ray.  She makes up words when there are already existing words.  Who says healthful when there is a perfectly good word called "HEALTHY."  While we're on that topic, none of her foods are healthy.  A lot of people wrote articles noting how big her portions are and how her "healthful" menus are actually not healthy at all.  Then don't' get me started on the 30 minute farce.  Unless you okay with boiling things with hot tap water and undercooking your meat, most normal people do NOT manage to get any of her recipes under 30 minutes (prep time or no prep time).  YUMO *gags*

Ellie Krieger is bad but everything she says are relatively truthful.  I thought healthy eating was better than her previous show.  She used to have this show where she visits overweight people and have some overdramatic episode.  The people usually cry about being unhappy with their figure and she would show up with a dish of pasta and magically everyone is happy and losing weight.

I liked Jamie Oliver until I saw him try to kill a lamb.  I don't have an issue with killing animals as I eat meat.  But he didn't exactly know how to kill it so a lot of the audience was left to watch the lamb bleed to death.  I lost respect for him after that.  Jamie, you can get already dead animals in the supermarket.  You don't need to painfully and slowly bleed them yourself.

I like Alton Brown the most.  You can watching him on Youtube under "Good eats."  He's not a chef but he introduce things in a "Mr Science" kinda way that makes things interesting.  But some people might be annoyed because he can seem a bit OC.

I love Alton Brown too. He is a bit strange but it has helped my cooking to know the reasoning behind how food is cooked and why certain things have to be done. I used to completely melt my butter for baking cookies until I saw his show on cookies that mentioned how the butter needs to be cut by the sugar to make it fluffier. My cookies now taste a lot better.  ;D

I just looked on Rachael Ray's website. Not only does it list recipes but she even lists her favorite CD's. She seems like she is an empire unto herself, perhaps trying to follow in Oprah's footsteps.

I just realised yesterday that Rachel Ray's show (presume it is the same one, the talkshow) is on two different channels ... Hallmark and Diva.

I found out about Rachel Ray from her being on Oprah's show a few times, even though most people on here don't like Rachel Ray I quite enjoy her show.  ;D   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Actually, he's more of a chef than some TV cooks in that he actually went to culinary school*.

*Yeah, I'm talking to YOU, Rachael Ray. ::)

Yes it's a new one, meant to be for women. The only good thing on it is Letterman every night at 9. (sky 282)

Funny how Letterman is supposed to be for women! I think he'd have a giggle over that!  ;D
