I thought they just renamed UKTV Gold2? I must be having a stupid moment because it never occurred to me that they called it Dave because it was a guys' channel!! I just thought it was a really silly name for a TV channel!  :-\\\\ :P ;D

Yes, that makes sense.

But I always think "TV for women" or "TV for men" is a silly concept. I mean, if it's good, shouldn't it transcend gender? I remember for a while the newspaper where I lived in the US started a special once-a-week section aimed at women. I found it so insulting! As if international and national news wasn't meant for us too!

I guess I'll have to watch Dave then - I LOVE Who's Line Is It Anyway?!!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I agree!! It's very silly!! Especially when they put really bad soaps on the women's channel and really good comedy on the guys' channel!

we were watching Letterman the other night and I was teasing DH that he was watching the "ladies' channel" !!!

I heard about this but never actually looked it up, LMAO.
I Sky+'ed her show last week but haven't been bothered enough to actually watch it.
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.

i'm a fan of Rachel Ray and her cooking shows. I, however, HATE (with a capital everything) HATE her talk show. (She does though say forthrightly that she's just a cook, not a chef. I've heard her say that alot.)

I've been watching her talk show a bit, out of sheer boredom. It's not totally my cup of tea, but I've seen worse.

I also just watched an episode of this Ellie lady's show (back to the original topic!!). She was making fish tacos and they looked pretty good. Her voice is a tad annoying but I don't hate her. I just don't see myself being overly inspired by her.

If you want to see me get angry, come make me watch Gary Rhodes in that India show of his. My husband almost died laughing watching me hurl abuse at him and his unbelievable arrogance!!

My dad always calls the Lifetime TV channel in teh US, 'the man bashing station'.
