;D

My stepmother and I have had ONE fight in 24 years...it was about the Red Sox and Yankees!  She's a Red Sox fan.   [smiley=argue.gif]
We laugh about it now, the fight that is.  We no longer discuss baseball!   [smiley=lipsrsealed2.gif]

I actually like both teams! I know... it's weird. But I mainly followed the minor leagues (AAA) in the US, and I was a fan of both Pawtucket and Columbus. It's been so long since I was interested, though. I happened to be up late last night, and saw part of the game on TV, but the only player I remembered was Jason Varitek. Yeesh. I feel old.

YAY PAW Sox!   ;D
I went to college in Providence and we'd go to PAW Sox games all the time.  I think we paid $3 with our school ID.  That was quite a few years ago...dang it chary, now I feel old!

PawSox are still a nice cheap evening of baseball. I'm not a big fan of baseball, but it's definitely a form of treason or something around here to like the Yankees or even not like baseball!

Where did you go, mekaw? What years? I had season tickets to the Pawsox for over 10 years! Front row, right over the dugout!

Johnson & Wales - '89-'93, I lived on the East Side by Brown off of Hope Street.

Oh, I'm much older than you are!!! But we could have been neighbours! I went to Brown, but graduated in '85. However, I stayed in Providence and lived on the East Side until 2003, when I moved here ... so we might have passed each other on Thayer Street sometime!  ;D

I could have been at the next table at Spats! ;D  I just got a craving for a Dell's Lemonade. :P

I lived at Minden Hall freshman year.  It was across the street from one of the Brown libraries.  The high-rise one that was rumored to be sinking.

Yankees without Torre & A-Rod next year!

...and maybe Pettitte, Posada, and/or Rivera as well!

The Evil Empire is certainly in tatters.  So glad we didn't get A-Rod in Boston and I hope they have no plans of grabbing him now.

Sorry mekaw, they swept! I'm so mad I didn't to the Jordan's Furniture deal, but I couldn't afford the furniture if they didn't win.  [smiley=bigcry.gif]
