caramel apples

My Sainsbury's ones say "toffee" apples and are definitely not red!

Morrisons has had those for sale recently with a sticker saying 'toffee apple' on them.

I was sooo confused!

sounds like they were mis-labelled?

Yes, I am certain of it now.  Which really doesn't surprise me with this particular Morrisons - the big one in city centre.  They've been 'remodeling' it for over a month now & it's still nothing but complete chaos inside it.

Literally, you walk in there past multitudes of p*ssed-off customers all grumbling 'FFS!' under their breath, cos everyone is wandering around looking for where things are...four different aisles spread throughout the store have breakfast cereal, the snack crackers are in the aisle with toilet cleaner...you get the picture.

Morrisons are still selling red candy-covered apples as 'toffee apples' -- every time I'm in the store, and in more than one store.  I'm tempted to buy one & see if it tastes like toffee or what?  Is there some sort of red colored toffee?
