Texan moving to England
« on: April 02, 2004, 05:58:49 PM »
Howdy all,

Been lurking around the site for awhile and thought I'd finally introduce myself. I'm 29, from Houston Texas, and will be moving to Welwyn Garden City in September to join my British honey. I've always loved traveling to England but can't help but to wonder how am I actually going to like living there. Will it be easy to make friends? Will I miss my family? How on earth will I be able to survive without my Mexican food? So many questions running through my mind.............. Still, I'm excited about the adventures that lie ahead. Anyhow, hello from a soon to be expat and look forward to making some new friendships.

Hi Texasgal and welcome to delurkdom.   :)

If you can cook you can get Mexican and I hear there are a few places to eat it so that should be okay.  Family and friends are definately something to miss for most expats but you can look forward to meeting new friends.  We have all sorts of meet ups as well so you can make friends that way too.

I look forward to your posts and welcome officially to UKY!
