Cornmeal =Polenta (was: Cooking in the UK)

Yep!  I make gorgeous cornbread using polenta.   

mmmmmmm cornbread I just went to my freezer and finally thru out the box of cornmeal that has been in there for at least a year, there was about 2tablespoons left and I just could not throw it out, having traveled all the way from california to be here so happy

Cornmeal mush was one of my son's first baby foods!  My mom had to give me the instructions on how to make it though.

This is a good reminder thread!  I ran out of polenta, and the store only had corn flour, so I bought it... you know, thinking it was corn flour.
