Where did you find seeds Nan?  I want try! (Alternatively, can use the dried ones and pull the seeds out)

Hahah, this original thread is from 2007, so see how lucky we are to have ‘Fritos’ now!

THANK GOODNESS FOR FRITOS!

The chili seeds.   https://www.victoriananursery.co.uk
B&Q had some as well.

Yeah, I've saved some Romero seeds and just put four in soil. Fingers are crossed that the plant was far enough along that they're viable.

Oh a bunch of my chillies seeds came from there. I love that shop.
Are you referring to the ones "NuMex"?   If so, I already have some.   ;D

Yeah, that's them.

My cayennes are flowering again, so it looks like a second crop this summer from them. Given I wouldn't need more than one of those per meal, looks like a month's worth of cayenne so far if I want pepper every day. I wonder if they have any heat - haven't tried them yet, the harvested ones are strung up and drying in the kitchen.

The jalepeno plants got dry while we were out of town and dropped a lot of blossoms, but are starting to flower again. There are only four or five fruits on them so far. They were much slower starting than the cayennes, but are looking very healthy at the moment. Interestingly while I had some problems with aphids on the cayennes, they don't go near the jalepeno plants. I think the sun has gotten too hot for the aphids now, as I haven't seen any in several days. Which doesn't bother me at all!  Had some bees come in and hang out for a while, and then leave, which is also good.  ;D  Otherwise I have to get a little artist's paintbrush to the flowers and pretend I'm a bee.
