I know how expensive it can be!  A box of PG on the base was almost £6!

We used to get the bars and crisps for DH as I was trying everything to help with homesickness.  They were all special treats though!

We ship loose leaf PG tips to my bro in Canada, as he can't get it there.

When I lived in San Antonio, they carried PG Tips at Cost Plus World Market and it was pretty inexpensive.

Looks like its $6.99 for a box of 80 normal or $8.99 for a box of 80 decaf from World Market.   :-\\\\

I'd say stock up before you head back to the states, but otherwise have a look at your local grocer to see if they have it & doesn't hurt to ask if they'd be willing to start selling it.   :)

Weird, Victoria... PG Tips was one of the cheapest teas available in BC.  Maybe only in some parts of Canada?  I've never liked it, I'm a Tetley girl.

My mom back in Ohio just told me on Sunday that she saw an advert for PG tips, I believe she said it was selected Giant Eagle stores.  She likes PG tips but unfortunately she didn't find any at her local Giant Eagle.

I concur. PG Tips was always cheap in BC when I lived there. It seems so expensive in the US. I was a Twinings girl as a child. Now I don't care.

It's at my parent's Giant store in Mechanicsburg, PA. It's a bit pricey!

If you don't open the bag, it's good for-EVER??
I brought back WAY more tea than I could drink in a year!!  I think I brought back a big bag/box of about four different brands!

I would bag it up and put it in the freezer.  I haven't tried storing black tea for long periods, but green tea definitely loses flavour after a year or two in the cupboard.  (I wish macha came in smaller bags..)

Chary,

To answer your earlier question, eastern N.C. (North Carolina) is nowhere NEAR Canada. It's a southern state (kind of low on the eastern seaboard of the States--Canada is a lot farther north).

I always liked Lipton and Red Rose in the States, but here we drink only Tetley's, which is fine with me.

It was a joke, Suzanne. I do actually know where North Carolina is.
