we have decided to have a wedding,

 We are already married, but did not have a wedding, just me and him and 2 of his friends i did not know as witnesses..

One of the main reason's we married without family, friends  was because he was deploying to Iraq, only had a weekend leave,  and we wanted to Marry before he left, so hence the no wedding. thats sounds bad, lol,

Now we have set the day to have the ceremony we did not have before, for our family and friends, but also for our Children, (I have 2 from a previous relationship), they are so excited too.

I cant believe, i would am buying into all this girly stuff, 5 years ago if you would have asked me if i would marry i would have said no, and i never thought i would want the dress etc. I am so excited even though we have 17 months until we do this.

So you will find me asking lots of questions because i dont have a clue.
    (sorry just had to use this smiley it is so cool, looks like me when i dont have platts in)

I have provisionally booked the venue for the ceremony, I go to work out some details next week, and i have booked the reception. We will be on a tight budget, but hey, i am good at working within a budget. I am so excited.

Yaaayy...I loved our wedding day even though I had never dreamt of a wedding and am such a toy-boy it was great picking a dress and flowers and tiara's! I got so caught up in it, it's such an exciting time...have a great time with all the planning!

I'm glad to hear Dave and I aren't the only ones doing this!
We got married at the registry office because we were short on time, etc. etc.
The only people there were his parents, his gran, and give or six of our friends; none of my family were in attendance because of the short notice and long trip from the States to the UK, haha.

We decided to do a proper wedding-like event on our one year anniversary as I've always wanted a nice wedding and for my family to be a part of it, etc. but I've kind of been feeling as if it's a silly thing to do as we're married already.

I feel much better about it now, thanks very much!
