I never thought a catalog could be so funny, seeing those pages really made me laugh...my husband too, who swears he owned the outfit shown on the boy with the title "Here's how to get your ass kicked in elementary school."

I just sent that to my mother because I'm sure I recall looking thru that one. I loved catalogs when I was little and Sears and JCPenney were absolute faves!!!

DH had that outfit in elementary school except that his was orange plaid (yes, orange) trousers and an matching solid orange turtleneck only to be finished off with white bowling shoes.  How to get your ass kicked indeed!

I was laughing myself to tears about the tie-pull chest hair comment!! The really scary thing is some of that stuff will probably be on the catwalk very soon and Im certain my brother has a few of those his and hers cowboy shirts for he and all his ex-wives  ;D

My mom sent this to me via email and my aunt was included in the email and both of them swear blind that they never owned any of those clothes but I know better and I know they had one of those yellow smocks. They're so ashamed. :)

You mean the same type of yellow smocks that have been in all the high street shops as of late?  :o
It's just a matter of time before we're all dressing like that again! And I'm already making room for my barrel dining set!
