The Magical Mystery Tour
« on: April 04, 2004, 08:57:00 AM »
From Friday to Monday I have no idea where I will be. All I know is that I should bring a passport just in case. There isn't a great deal of traveltime involved. I should bring clothes to cover any weather possibility, but nothing too formal is needed.

We're celebrating my FIL's birthday and Graham is taking us away on a Mystery Tour. He's already organized and booked the whole thing.

Anyone have any guesses where we might be this next weekend?

I don't know but it sounds like a lot of fun!! I hope you have a good time. Maybe after your trip you or Graham can post the details of where you booked the trip and everything.

Have a great time!!!

Oooh, that's a good guess. But, I suspect not. His dad's coming with us, I mean it's a trip for his dad, really. A birthday gift. So, although it would be a fab trip  :) I don't think it's set up as a romantic theme.

I'm holding out for a trip on the Orient Express for that one!  ;D

Don't tell Graham, but that's my secret hope, Barbara. If it's not, I'm sure we'll still have a fabulous time wherever it is, because he puts a lot of thought into these things...and definitely get to Prague one day.

Ah yes, I expect I'm being engineered.

But if you folks come up with 10 brilliant ideas, then that'll leave at least 9 for consideration in the future.

Sweetie <said all innocently> what are you doing here? I thought you were away in Stevenage. Ummm...errrr...why don't you take this railway timetable and give it a look-through while I do a liiiiitle bit of spring cleaning around here. No, really, you just relax.  ;D

Ah great. Over to me, eh?
Picture number one is the view (ish) from our hotel. If the picture showed more to the right, you'd see the beginnings of the airport. As we arrived, the hotel desk clerk informed us their little community was singled out on the national news as being the only place in the entire nation to have this overcast weather. That should be a clue as to where we went if you watched the news/weather. (P.S. The following days were very nice in contrast.)

Picture Two - a local mascot came out to greet us  ;)

I used to have one of those local mascots.  Sweet cats, if a bit jittery, and WOW can they jump!
