a used car - again.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Went into Glasgow today and, with roadworks on the M8, it took us 2.5 hours to get there from our front door, so I needed to make it count!

Bought:
2 pairs of Start-Rite shoes for the girls
4 pairs of plimsolls
2 pairs of drawstring shorts for Aillidh
2 pairs of wee boy shoes
Hello Kitty iron on badges, 2 packs
4 pairs of jogging bottoms for Roisin to wear to nursery
2 packs of pretty hair grips in H&M for Aillidh + pretty elastics
And had a little spluge in H&M for myself as the sales were AMAZING!  Got an absolutely lovely pair of black lace up ankle boots for 30 quid, 2 pairs of trousers for a fiver each, a marl cardigan, a couple of jumpers.
Bottle of wine

Just got home, but it was a good day!

Makeup. I really really need to put down my Barclaycard and step away from the MAC website before we're broke and living in a box (but looking fabulous.) Not to mention I don't have face enough to go through all the stuff I've accumulated.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

A cute pair of shoes for swing dancing for only $10.

Pair of shorts for sleeping to replace the ones I returned...also $10 and they're just what I was looking for.

The big splurge in the USA included:

Covergirl makeup, composition notebooks and jean skirts for the 18 year old.
Loads of  cheap, cool teen clothing for the 12 year old from Kohl's, Target and um, Walmart.
About nine hundred bags of Fritos that I ate and ate and ate.
A giant bottle of Excedrin.
A Catskill Mountains T shirt and Mug for the husband.
And for me (!) a cupcake carrier and popcorn dishes from Target!
