3 day get away in USA for parents?

my sisters & i have decided to give my parents a 3-4 day getaway for xmas. (we've cleared the time period with my dad).  28/29 Dec thru 2/3 Jan.

they live in New Jersey so something a max 3-4 hour flight.  Florida?  all inclusive?  we want this to be as stressless & and bonding for them as possible. 

any suggestions?

hi meggles, great idea, try gatlinburg tn maybe a cabin.. they can fly into knoxville.. its so pretty there maybe even it would snow.... i see a lot of older ppl there.. anyways good luck... amy

Miami or the Keys?

Charleston, SC is nice too. Perhaps you could even find one of the pre-Civil War homes along the battery that have been converted to B&Bs. If your dad likes history he'll love this place from Revolution to modern history. Your mom can enjoy shopping the antique areas or the outlets malls. The area is quite active in terms of the performing arts as well.

What about Quebec city? It will be beautiful in the winter. 

My parents love Sanibel Island (Florida) that time of year.

Savannah Georgia is a wonderful little getaway. They have lots of cute antique and unique shops and horse drawn carriages. Just a good place to meander and relax for a few days.

Well I have to plug my Chicago of course! There's gorgeous scenery, fantastic shopping, good food and spectacular theatres. You can also get a good deal on a package from Expeda or Travelocity.
