Best Bedtime Books
« on: April 06, 2004, 12:52:58 AM »
In honour of the arrival of Phillip, let's list some books both as suggestions for Marlesepo and as a bit of reminicing.  ;)

I personally will always be fond of And Rain Makes Applesauce by Julian Scheer.  Dr Seuss is always a classic, but my favourite by him is Fox in Socks.  (Yay for tongue twisters!)

A favorite early bedtime book has to be Goodnight Moon. A favorite for a bit older ones is The Giving Tree.
Favorite Dr. Seuss is Green Eggs and Ham.
I could go on and on..but will stop there :)

Anything with Curious George in it did it for me...loved his mischievious ways & curiosity (hmmm...perhaps that's what I can blame for wanting to travel oversees!).

We read Dagmar "Curious George and the Bunny" and "Goodnight Moon" every night before bed...(well, we'll probably sub another book for Curious George soon, but Goodnight Moon is the last bedtime story every night.)

"Guess How Much I Love You" is another good one.

awww...Guess How Much I Love You is such a sweet book!

I always liked the Frog and Toad stories...did anybody read those when they were a kid?

Charlotte's Web.  ;D
Carried me through childhood and into adulthood to not be afraid of spiders.
Married to Graham, we run our own open-source computer training company in beautiful Wiltshire out of our 1814 Georgian Regency home (a former lodging house and once featured in Antiques Roadshow)
