Hershey's Kisses-Holiday Flavors
« on: December 01, 2007, 10:58:20 PM »
I love the caramel flavored Hershey's kisses (those are about the only Hershey's candy I'll eat on it's own!) and today at the grocery store I saw some more flavors I hadn't heard of before.

There were candy cane flavored ones and hot chocolate creme ones. The candy cane flavored ones were strange. It was white chocolate and there was a red swirl in it, and that actually tasted fine, like a soft candy cane. It was just strange because there were bits of candy cane in them. Some of my friends at work loved them, but I didn't like the texture. To me the texture was like eating clams that had too much sand in them. Too bad they put in the pieces of candy cane, I would have liked them otherwise.

I loved the hot chocolate ones. The filling inside is almost like a Cadbury Mini Creme Egg.  :)

I don't know about those, but my parents send me hershettes every year for my stocking.  I absolutely loved them, and ate as many as I could get away with.  They've sent them to me already, in plastic candy cane holders, and I'm doing my best to not eat them early.  I don't think they'll last much longer though.  And technically one is for dh, but he has very kindly offered me his.  Actually, they are about the only hershey's chocolate I like to eat any more, but I really do miss them.   :)

They look like M&M's almost exactly, minus the M on it.  They only sell them around definitely Christmas and I can't remember around Easter.  I think they taste better than M&M's, but that may just be me.

I'd be happy to post some to people if they really want some.

persephone, what you are describing as Hersheyettes sound like what we call Kissables. We have those year round here.

They are basically Hershey Kiss shaped M&Ms.  :)

Well definitely heard of kissables, interesting that they changed the named from hersheyettes to kissables.  I personally think the kissables are kind of gross, not enough chocolate and way too sweet. As a kid, I thought chocolate chips were mini Hershey kisses.  I always wished for the huge ones that you can find this time of year though.

My folks sent us some last year - they were wonderful, the cherry flavored ones and the peanut butter ones were my favorites. I used the candy cane ones for my daughter - she would leave notes for Santa on the hearth and every morning the note would be gone and in its place were the candy cane kisses. As she'd never seen them before they were perfect to be from Santa.

We picked up some of the Holiday Kisses the other day. DH is in love with the cherry cordial and the mint ones. So yum!
